Jenna Brassington, Pelvic Health Physio
BSC (HONS) Physiotherapy, CSP, HCPC, APPI, Pelvic Health Physio
Jenna graduated with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool in 2013. She started her physiotherapy career on the medical wards of the Liverpool Royal Hospital. After starting her family, spending a lot of time at playgroups hearing women discussing their post-partum pelvic health, she decided to specialise in pelvic heath.
Working with Becky Corran in the Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust, she grew her interest and skills in the management of pelvic pain, bladder and bowel conditions for men and women. Jenna now leads the NHS Pelvic Health service on the Wirral, liaising closely with the Urogynaecology and Colorectal teams at Wirral University Trust Hospitals. She attends relevant conferences throughout the year as well as courses each quarter to ensure she is up to date with the leading evidence-based practice.
Jenna has expanded her practice with a special interest in sexual function for men and women including CPD learning in ejaculatory disorders and psychosexual counselling. She brings an honest, direct and empathetic approach to her patients, tackling what can be intimate and sensitive content with a comforting enthusiasm. She uses a holistic approach and detailed questioning to identify and inspire lifestyle modifications to augment traditional treatment modalities.
Jenna also brings to the team a APPI Pilates instructor certification and can offer group and one-on-one Pilates sessions tailored to your goals and accommodating any existing health conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse and osteoporosis.
Jenna is registered with (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the association of Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP).
Outside of work, Jenna is an active member of community groups including Wirral Ukulele Fanatics, Mersey Tri and Wirral Women’s Circle and Red Tent. As a dedicated triathlete (competing at iron distance), she is most likely found swimming in a lake or riding her bike up and down the hills of North Wales.
